For years, some law enforcement agencies have replaced the faces of traditional playing card decks with images of missing and murdered people and distributed those cards in prisons hoping inmates would come forward with information needed to crack these cold cases wide open.

Each week, we will be working with investigators and family members to bring you the details of some of the coldest cases from around the country in hopes that someone listening can finally bring these victims the justice they deserve.

In 1984, Darlene Hulse was murdered in her home in Argos, Indiana. Her two oldest daughters witnessed the attack, but they didn’t recognize the man who took their mother. Though Darlene’s body would be found a day later, just six miles from her home, her killer has evaded law enforcement for almost four decades and the investigation has remained cold…until now.

When the daughter of a murdered 57-year-old father and business man from Louisiana handed out information packets at a crime convention in 2019, one of the bright yellow folders landed in the audiochuck offices. Four years later, Ashley Flowers passed the folder to CounterClock’s Delia D’Ambra and she took on the case. For more than a year Delia investigated and unraveled a web of bizarre information and circumstances about the life and death of Bruce Cucchiara.
